FOA exists because the UK has created a justice system where public bodies can act unlawfully, shape narratives, ignore evidence and damage families without facing any real challenge. Fathers do not get a fair fight. The process is designed to exhaust you, price you out and break you long before you ever reach accountability. For most men, it works.

It did not work on us.

FOA was created because one father spent eleven years inside this system. Eleven years of reports, hearings, allegations, safeguarding escalation, hidden emails, procedural breaches and the silent violence of bureaucracy. Eleven years of learning how local authorities operate, how CAFCASS shapes a narrative, how complaint systems neutralise truth, and how the court expects you to fail. That experience was not a course. It was survival.

FOA is built from that survival.

We exist because Judicial Review is the only mechanism the law gives ordinary people to challenge the state, yet it is priced so high that almost no father can access it. Solicitors will not take these cases without thousands. Councils know this. CAFCASS knows this. They rely on it.
